Mid-size BPO firm Omega Healthcare said it would hire 1,000 people in the next six months in Bengaluru. The healthcare services provider, which earns largest chunk of its revenues from the US, has 4,000 employees in that city.
Omega Healthcare employs the same number of employees at its Trichy office.
The company, which currently serves more than 100 clients in the US, recently acquired WhiteSpace Healthcare to expand its offerings in the cloud-based data analytic solutions space.
"Our business has been expanding both horizontally and vertically as a result of which we have been hiring continuously for the various services we provide. Today we have over 4,000 employees working in the Bengaluru facility alone and have been growing at a CAGR of about 30 per cent. This gives us more opportunities to rapidly scale hiring of talented young professionals," said Gopi Natarajan, co-founder and CEO, Omega Healthcare.
The company plans to offer an alternative platform for life sciences graduates.
"We have been able to provide alternate career options to life sciences graduates by training and providing them required skills. Through the Omega Medical Coding Academy we aspire to train more people in medical coding and give them a platform to grow in this field," said Julius Raj Stephen, Joint Head of Operations and Location Head, Bengaluru, Omega Healthcare.
